Prison Passover Plate Project
Helping our encarcerated bretheren to celelbrate Passover with Seder plates, juice and matzah
WHAT IS THIS?
We provide fresh-made, fresh food Passover plates as well as juice and matzah for Passover and the week of Unleavened Bread to 9 Central Florida prisons each year, showing over 200 incarcerated brethren the love of Yeshua, that they are cared about!
WHY DO WE DO THIS?
Many people in prisons all over the country are repentant and committing their lives to YHWH and coming into understanding of embracing all He has for us in ALL of His Word, including His Feasts! We are helping those less fortunate than us, as we see in His Word is YHWH's heart to do, our incarcerated brethren, to celebrate His Feasts!

Pictoral Journey of this project
- This is a time of worship during a "Passover Seder" in 2017. Notice no decor, no plates, just styrofoam cups with water, matzah and Haggadahs! We did read through the Haggadah, remembering all He has done and worshipped Him.
- Starting the "Seder" in 2017 with the lighting of candles, again, only matzah. This happened because of DOC not allowing any Messianic Jewish donations at all that year!
- In 2018 DOC realized their mistake and decided the Messianic Jewish inmates needed to be allowed to have proper Seder Plates for Passover. When I called the number given to me for the head of Chaplaincy for the state about providing Passover plates for the several prisons we were ministering in, I was asked if I would provide Passover plates for even more prisons! ( a sharp contrast to the prior year!) After prayerful consideration I said yes. After many ideas and calls for
- permission, the design of these plates was born! The first year, 2018, two women prepared about 25 plates, in the restaurant that the one woman owned. I do not have pictures of these women to show, and the following two years the plates were prepared in 2 other restaurants until the current restaurant where the plates have been prepared for the past 3 years, and they will be prepared there this year!
- The following year, 2019, the plates were prepared by a team of people who have been faithful to prepare the plates every year since. In this year they prepared at and with the owner of the restaurant pictured above on the left ( the woman on the right is the owner of the prior years' restaurant and one of the original 2 preparers of our Prison Passover Plates)
- This is some of the original crew, in 2019, helping in that restaurant in Cocoa Beach. Most of these people have been very willingly preparing the plates annually since then. They have been a very essential part of this project as volunteers cannot actually prepare food to be taken in (and I am a volunteer in several Florida prisons, so cannot prepare the food! I just organize the whole thing!)
- In 2020 plate preparation was moved to a small restaurant in Melbourne, much closer to where most of the team lives. We are so grateful to all of the restaurants who have partaken in the plate preparation and allowed our volunteers to assist in preparing these plates for our incarcerated brethren!
- On few occassions I have had plates made by the team for those not incarcerated. These men are former inmates learning about Passover that we gifted 2 plates to one year.
- We also provided a plate last year, 2023, and will this year, for a Jewish woman who has accepted Yeshua as her Messiah that is in a nursing home. I brought a plate and we did most of the Haggadah together and she was in tears of gratitude with good memories and understanding. Here are 2024 pictures of us:
Some of the team holding prepared plates in the restaurant where the plates are now prepared, since 2021!
- A car packed with some of the items donating: prepared plates, juice and matzah
On the road again! Driving all over Central Florida delivering the fresh made Passover plates and other supplies!
2024 Update: We provided Passover and week of Unleavened Bread supplies (Seder plates, juice and matzah) to 13 prisons, for 350 Messianic Jewish inmates!

One of many thank you notes we have received
over the past 6 years of doing this!
One last thing: Several years ago I a attended 6 week class at a Chabad synagogue called "Crime and Consequence" that a friend recommended to me. I had never considered that no where does the Torah command incarceration!
An interesting thought to ponder below:
